Six beautiful gardens were generously opened for viewing for the Narrandera Town and Country Open Garden Day event on Sunday.

A variety of gardens were on offer for visitors to explore – from large farm, and semi-rural, to small suburban gardens. ‘Boree Park’ featured repeat plantings of lavender, Ligustrum, Iceberg roses and Escallonia to great effect.

Gardens within town offered a wide range of styles, from a much loved cottage garden to a tranquil green oasis with relaxation at it’s core.

The day brought together several community groups, with Can Assist providing Devonshire Tea, CWA offering a delicious lunch, and Narrandera Garden Club handling ticket sales and the Plant Stall.

Local businesses, ProTen, Hutchins Bros Engineering, Manildra, Bendigo Bank, McGrath Real Estate, The Shady Gum Nursery and Gunn’s Mitre 10 generously lent their support to the event.

Organisers would like to thank the garden owners, attendees and volunteers who assisted in creating a wonderful event in support of Can Assist Narrandera.
