Skywalk project reaches construction milestone in Tamworth

Construction on the Tamworth Skywalk has reached a new phase, with contractor FORGE commencing installation of the elevated boardwalk structure this week.

Construction is expected to continue into mid-2026 and will include the full path and boardwalk structure, rest areas, and viewing platforms. Associated works such as the Endeavour Drive car park and landscaping are also planned.

FORGE Head of Construction, Robert Antonios, said the company has focused on local procurement and community engagement throughout the build.

“As part of our commitment to supporting local communities, we are making a $10,000 donation to Can Assist, a not-for-profit organisation that supports people affected by cancer,” Mr Antonios said.
