Leeton Can Assist was approached by the Leeton News agency to put a large collection box/item that could stand at the door of the newsagent for members of the public to put loose change in for Can Assist. The newsagent said they were often asked by customers if they had any collection boxes for charities for any change but there was no room on the counter for a collection box.

The husband of one of our members is a very talented woodworker and member of the local Men’s Shed so he devised and built a free standing wishing well. We and the newsagent staff are delighted with the result. Another example of different parts of the community coming together to help local cancer patients.
