Harden Debutante Ball Raises Money for Can Assist
The 2025 Harden Debutante Ball was another success this year at the Harden Country Club with Can Assist’s raffle raising money for the community-run charity.
The first prize was worth over $5,000 in vouchers and gifts from various businesses like Jugiong Motor Inn and Ziems Quality Meats. It included eight tickets to a 2025 Sydney Swans home game. Second prize was a hamper worth over $2,500 and third was similar with one consisting of $500 in gifts, gift cards and vouchers from local businesses.
Organiser Michelle Howe said the deb ball is one of Can Assists’ major fundraisers for the entire year.
“This is the fourth year that Can Assist have been managing it. It went well. We had 120 guests in attendance.
“There were six debutantes with their partners that were presented to Nikki and Dave Bolger, who were our guests of honour.”
Michelle said this year was well supported.
“Fundraising went well, raffle sales were very high. The raffle prizes were over $11,000 worth of prizes, tickets were sold online and in person up the street and around the town. It all went well.
“It’s so close to all our hearts. Everybody has somebody that’s been impacted by cancer, so it’s great for everybody that’s involved, it’s very good to be a part of.”
