Uralla BRANCH

Hunter New England Region

Assisting our community, locally…

ABOUT US

Can Assist Uralla was formed in 2000. The Branch provides financial support to cancer patients and their families who live in the Uralla Shire area. All funds raised by the community are spent to support local patients. Raised here stays here!

We thank everyone for their support at our various fundraising events including the annual family and fishing fund day, our street store and wood raffle and the bowls day.

Areas Serviced: Abington, Arding, Bakers Creek, Balala, Boorolong, Briarbrook, Bundarra, Camerons Creek, Dangarsleigh, Dumaresq, Gostwyck, Inveergowrie, Kellys Plains, Kingstown, Mihi, Rocky River, Salisbury Plains, Saumarez, Torryburn, Uralla, Yarrowyck

Financial Assistance

We understand that families struggle to cope with a reduced income as a result of a cancer diagnosis and that they face increased expenses from travel, accommodation and medical costs.

Our Supporters

Our Branch would not exist without our members, volunteers and supporters both from within the community and further afield. Can Assist expresses our thanks.

Regional Australia Bank Community Partnership.

We are incredibly lucky to have the Governor of New South Wales Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC present life membership to two of our special board members at today’s Family Fun Day, Mary Ann Munsie and Vicki McLean.

The dedication and commitment these two women have shown Can Assist Uralla over the past decade is second to none and we are so so very lucky to have them in our community. They have been the glue to the committee and have been the support of many locals going through a tough time in their cancer battles.

What a way to be recognised. Congratulations Mary Ann and Vicki.
