Ungarie BRANCH
Murrumbidgee Region
Can Assist Ungarie was formed in 2004. We raise funds to provide financial assistance to people in our local community who are undergoing cancer treatment.
Areas Serviced: Bygalorie, Erigolia, Girral, Gubbata, Kikoira, Melbergen, Naradhan, North Yalgogrin, Rankins Springs, Tallimba, Tullibigeal, Ungarie, Weethalle, Weja, Yaddra
We understand that families struggle to cope with a reduced income as a result of a cancer diagnosis and that they face increased expenses from travel, accommodation and medical costs.
Lilier Lodge provides accommodation for people undergoing cancer treatment at nearby facilities including the Riverina Cancer Care Centre, Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Calvary Hospital.
Purpose built by Can Assist and the Cancer Council NSW, with the support of local and regional communities, it is managed by Can Assist. The 21 bed lodge is a warm and supportive home away from home.
Our Branch would not exist without our members, volunteers and community supporters. We thank them for their contribution.
Lilier Lodge
Located in Wagga Wagga, Lilier Lodge provides relaxing and homely accommodation for people undergoing cancer treatment to nearby facilities. They understand the specific needs of cancer patients and their carers.
