Can Assist Tweed was formed in October 2022 to raise funds and to provide financial assistance to people in our local community who are undergoing cancer treatment.
Financial Assistance
We understand that families struggle to cope with a reduced income as a result of a cancer diagnosis and that they face increased expenses from travel, accommodation and medical costs.
Our Supporters

With one recent bequest from a lady named Ms Skinner, we have already in this financial year been able to relieve the burden of accommodation costs for four country families when staying in Sydney to support their loved ones when receiving cancer treatment. Can Assist's network is so grateful for Ms Skinner's thoughtfulness in planning a bequest within her will.
We ensure the benefactors' lasting legacy will meet their wishes in supporting country cancer patients in NSW. Need more information?

What a wonderful In-Service Charmayne (also on our Can Assist Tweed Committee) organised for Oncology Staff at The Tweed Hospital today. It was so enlightening to have such a responsive team of medical professionals ready to get on board and support Can Assist Tweed. The team came up with some fabulous ideas and ready to promote and support Can Assist Tweed. Watch this space. Many thanks to Charmayne and the Oncology Team. 👏👏👏
