Griffith BRANCH
Murrumbidgee Region
Can Assist Griffith was formed in 1984. We are committed to ensuring that all Griffith people have access to cancer treatment and care. By providing accommodation, financial assistance and practical support we ensure that Griffith people are given the same opportunities and treatment choices as those who live in city centres.
Areas Serviced: Beelbangera, Bilbul, Binya, Darlington Point, Griffith, Hanwood, Rankin Springs, Tharbogang, Wumbugal, Yenda, Yoogali
We understand that families struggle to cope with a reduced income as a result of a cancer diagnosis and that they face increased expenses from travel, accommodation and medical costs.
Lilier Lodge was purpose built by Can Assist and the Cancer Council NSW, together with the support of local and regional communities.
Lilier Lodge provides accommodation for people undergoing cancer treatment at nearby facilities including the Riverina Cancer Care Centre, Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Calvary Hospital.
Our Branch would not exist without our members, volunteers and community supporters. We thank them for their contribution.
Lilier Lodge
Located in Wagga Wagga, Lilier Lodge provides relaxing and homely accommodation for people undergoing cancer treatment to nearby facilities. They understand the specific needs of cancer patients and their carers.
Areas Serviced: Beelbangera, Bilbul, Binya, Darlington Point, Griffith, Hanwood, Rankin Springs, Tharbogang, Wumbugal, Yenda, Yoogali
🐮 Did you know Can Assist has 60 branches across NSW? 💚 Our branches are part of what makes Can Assist so special, local people supporting local patients and families when they need it most.
And while we can’t confirm these Highland cows in NSW are official branch volunteers… we can confirm they’re pretty cute! ... See MoreSee Less

Meet Leanne. 👋 Leanne is the face of this year’s Can Do the Distance campaign. And just like so many of us, she’s doing the distance for someone she loves — her sister, Ellie.
👟This August, Leanne is walking in Ellie’s memory. She’s taking on 270km, walking 10km for every year of Ellie’s life.
Ellie was supported by Can Assist Harden and Young during her cancer journey. Ellie and her family travelled more than 5,000km for treatment. When her cancer returned aggressively, Ellie sadly passed away at just 27 years old. Ellie was passionate about spreading the word about Can Assist, so more country families could find the support they need — and find it earlier. This is Leanne’s way of continuing that work in Ellie’s memory.
Together, our incredible fundraisers and donors have now helped us reach $40,000! 🎉
Can we make it to $50,000 by the weekend? Donate or read more about Leanne’s story at www.candothedistance.org.au

Leanne Schulz 👏👏👏 Look at you go x
Wondering how $30,000 helps us say, “Yes, we Can Assist”?
🚗🛣️ That’s 300 $100 fuel vouchers — one of the ways Can Assist helps country cancer patients get to the treatment they need.
🫶 It’s 300 families facing one less financial barrier when cancer turns their world upside down.

Canola way Can assist
Did you know working horses can average 32–48 km in a single day? 🐎
Country cancer patients often travel even further to access the treatment they need. No one should have to face that distance alone. 💚
If you or someone you know needs support, get in touch with Can Assist. We provide practical and financial assistance to people with cancer and their families across country NSW.
