Bega Valley BRANCH

Southern NSW Region

Assisting our community, locally…

ABOUT US

Can Assist Bega Valley was formed in 2004. The branch raises funds to provide financial assistance to patients in our local community who are undergoing cancer treatment. Our motto is “Locals helping locals”.

Areas Serviced: Akolele, Barragga Bay, Beauty Point, Bega, Bemboka, Bermagui, Bermagui South, Burragate, Candelo, Central Tilba, Cobargo, Corunna, Cuttagee, Dalmeny, Dignams Creek, Eden, Greendale, Kiah, Kianga, Merimbula, Mystery Bay, Narooma, Nethercote, North Narooma, Pambula, Quaama, Rocky Hall, Tathra, Tilba Tilba, Tinpot, Towomba, Tura Beach, Wadbilliga, Wallaga Lake, Wallaga Lake Heights, Wolumla, Wonboyn Lake

Financial Assistance

We understand that families struggle to cope with a reduced income as a result of a cancer diagnosis and that they face increased expenses from travel, accommodation and medical costs.

Our Supporters

Our Branch would not exist without our members, volunteers and community supporters. We thank them for their contribution.

Thanks, Ms Skinner! Can Assist always appreciates when someone chooses to include Can Assist as a beneficiary in their will.

With one recent bequest from a lady named Ms Skinner, we have already in this financial year been able to relieve the burden of accommodation costs for four country families when staying in Sydney to support their loved ones when receiving cancer treatment. Can Assist's network is so grateful for Ms Skinner's thoughtfulness in planning a bequest within her will.

We ensure the benefactors' lasting legacy will meet their wishes in supporting country cancer patients in NSW. Need more information?

BIG WEEKEND – donations doubled; impact doubled!

www.candothedistance.org.auDouble the impact of your Can Do the Distance challenge this weekend!

For two days on 19th and 20th August, Essential Energy will proudly double any donations, no matter how large or small, to our Can Do the Distance fundraiser.

Making your donations work harder in assisting country cancer patients and their families.

So, share with your friends and get them to donate now!

* The dollars available for dollar matching from our generous sponsor is limited so get in quick. For every dollar donated this weekend, it will be equally matched with dollars that will support those NSW country patients who live outside our current Can Assist catchment area.
